The Latest from the Shepherds

What Do You Do On Sundays?
Well lately, the Shepherd family has been trying to do things on a Sunday afternoon, that we haven't done in a while. One Sunday we put together every puzzle we could fit on our table. They were all ones the kids used to do when they were little. It was fun.

We also purchased some Play-Do. It was a blast, and much more fun now that the kids aren't mixing colors and getting it everywhere. Khodie and McKay happened to be over that Sunday. I think they thought we were a little strange, but in the end, I think they had a blast.

Here are some of our creations: Ashley's paisley, flower, and chandelier.
Zack's Penguin
McKay's pond scene
Emily's aquarium
Zack's cottage
Steve's creature
Khodie's sunshine and rain
Meagan's devotion to Mesa High
Our first harvest ever from our lemon tree. We had some yummy lemonade and froze the rest of the juice for later.

We said goodbye to my beautiful Grandma Dena Mary Zimmerman. This is my dad Rex, and his two brothers Ron and Don.
Our friend Jake Hatch got his mission call to Chihuahua Mexico.

Steve baptized his Mom Dixie on January 16, 2010. It was a great day!
That's all for now. Thanks for keeping up with us. More fun to come I'm sure of it!!

Update ~ as promised!

Warning! Very long post with lots of pictures - all out of order!!! It has been way too long since I updated our family blog. Sorry! Last time I posted photos was October I believe. It is already half way into February, so I have missed posting, quite a few fun times! To start with. . . We have had 4 Birthdays, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Flag Football season (2 of them), Great Grandma Zimmerman's passing, lots of cousin times, Winter Formal, and many more memories. So here they are in picture form. Like I said, totally out of order.

Cousins, cousins, cousins!!!

Max and Ashley had a birthday - They sure love each other~

Steve agreed to dogsit these fine furry friends. Don't even ask!!!

A last visit with Great Grandma Zimmerman before she passed away on Jan 28th, 2010. We will miss her, but know she is having a great reunion in heaven with Grandpa!!!
Another fun Flag Football Season with Uncle Shawn and Seth, Steve, Max and Zack. Rumor has it next season (Fall) might bring tackle!?!?!? Mom is so nervous, but the boys can hardly wait.
More cousin photos. We lined them all up on the stage by age. Josh and his fiance Jessica were first all the way down to Nathan. We were missing my brother Eric's 4 kids, which would have made 32 + Jessica. What a crew!!! Oh and they are all doing the Grandpa Z pose.

Christmas Eve With Scott & Julie's, and Joel & Maree's kids!

Ashley, Hannah, Daniel, and Meagan

Zack and Nathan
Our annual photo with the Big Guy!

These 3 jokers are always being goofy!!!
Winter Formal - Ash made her dress this year.

Winter Formal - Meagan, I didn't get any shots of them with their dates!!!

We hosted Meagan's group at our house for dinner. There were 16 couples. Lots of fun!!!

Max earns his Arrow of Light. Poor Guy. Mom hadn't bought his new Scout shirt yet, and his Cub Scout shirt was way too small. Sorry Max!
Well, I think that is it for now. Hope you enjoyed our last few months. I know we did!

It's Time For a New Post

I just can't seem to get those photos uploaded from my camera onto the computer! I know how, just don't have time! So I will just add one. It was our family's Christmas Card Photo. We had a fun time shooting with my friend Kim Skinner. She was amazing! It is sad I haven't updated my blog since October. So much has happened. Watch for updated photos coming soon! Thanks for checking in on the Shepherd Family though.

Homecoming 2009

What a weekend! Steve and I were able to have a great time at his 20th High School Reunion. It was 20 years ago that he graduated from Gilbert High School. We enjoyed seeing lots of old friends and catching up on their lives. Wow how time flies!!!
While Steve and Julie were reminiscing about high school memories. . . Ashley and Meagan were making some of their own high school memories. It was Homecoming at Mesa High.
Ashley and her date Kyler Fackrell.
Meagan and her date Jonathan Stones. It was a fun night for all.

Zack!!

So our youngest Zack, is now 9. We celebrated his birthday last weekend, (it was officially on the 12th.) He is having a party tomorrow after school with some friends, and we are going to the ASU game on Saturday the 19th, all in his honor. He always says some of the funniest things. I had to share his latest with you all. He is an early riser, and always joins Mom and Dad around 5:30 am in our bed. I asked him the other morning, "Zack, why don't you sleep more?" Zack: "Sleeping is a waste of time." Mom: "What would you rather be doing, instead of sleeping?" Zack: "Playing football!" Duh Mom - I should've known. Love that kid!!!!!!

Here are some of Zack's favorite photos: This was one of his greatest achievements in Shepherd Sports History. Stitches received, after a flag football tackle!!!
Sparklers on the 4th of July
A New Football - What else would he ask for for his birthday?
And an ASU hat - What else?
Playing on Ashley's ipod. No one gets to hold it, not anyone!!!!!

Our August (a little late!)

I'm feeling guilty that the month of August flew by and I did not post a single thing all month! Sorry to those of you who are curious about the goings on at the Shepherd home. We had a great trip to Utah for our 2nd annual LDSBA Convention. It was for our Creative Wrapping Paper Co. We had a great time staying with my sister and her family. School started and life is a little back to normal. Meagan turned sweet 16 on the 24th, and got her license on the 25th. Ashley is a Senior this year and is swimming for the Mesa High Swim Team. Meagan is a Junior, and keeping very busy with Student Council. Emily is a Freshman this year, at Taylor Jr. High and has lots of fun with all her friends. Max is in 5th Grade and Zack is in 3rd Grade at Franklin East Elementary. They both are playing flag football and basketball this fall. Julie is back working part time at Crossroads school. She is an aide in the Special Ed Class. Life is crazy-busy, but we wouldn't change a thing!

Happy Birthday Meagan

Meagan had to be to school at 6:30 am, so we didn't get a 1st Day of School picture of her!
